Potential should never be limited by access.

The LEADER Athlete Development Foundation exists to expand access to high-quality athletic development, academic support, leadership formation, wellness education, mentoring and community opportunity.

We develop the complete athlete—not only the measurable performance on the field, but the disciplined habits, knowledge, character and support system that help young people grow over time.

“Our faith shapes why we serve. It doesn’t determine whom we serve.”

Two spaces. One purpose.

Our integrity standard: We do not market “mental toughness” as a standalone program or promised result. Focus, confidence, composure and resilience may develop through intentional training, disciplined habits and growth through challenge. The Foundation does not diagnose, treat or provide clinical mental-health services.

LAB³ Integrated

The pilot framework is developmental and provisional. It is not medical advice, medical clearance, a diagnosis, a scientifically validated composite, or a guaranteed predictor of athletic talent.

Development that compounds.

01

Assess

Establish an age-appropriate baseline across the domains that matter.

02

Develop

Build a practical plan around strengths, needs, habits and goals.

03

Support

Connect athletes with coaches, educators, mentors and community resources.

04

Reassess

Show progress over time and turn feedback into the next development cycle.

Who will you help?

Talent is everywhere. Access is not. LEADER is being built to close the distance between potential and opportunity—one athlete, one family and one community at a time.

ATHLETES

Earned opportunity

Sliding-scale access, scholarships and development support designed to keep cost from becoming the final word on a young person’s potential.

FAMILIES

A connected system

Clearer development pathways, practical education and trusted relationships across performance, academics, wellness and life preparation.

COMMUNITY

Leadership returned

Athletes learn that progress carries responsibility: help the next person, strengthen the team and leave the community better.

THE FULL-CIRCLE PROMISE

Every athlete enters asking, “Who am I?” The goal is for every developing leader to leave ready to answer, “Who will I help?”

DRG

One origin. One mission. Many leaders.

Douglas R. Gillespie, MSN, RN

United States Army Veteran · MBA Candidate

Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer

The vision began with one father asking what youth development could become if athletic performance, education, health knowledge, leadership and opportunity were built as one connected system.

Douglas brings the lived perspective of a father developing his own children, a United States Army veteran and former Combat Medical Specialist shaped by service, and a nurse and healthcare leader who understands that access can change the course of a life.

The LEADER Foundation is the institutional expression of that journey: training the athlete, developing the person, serving the community and preparing the next generation to lead.

Born from a father’s journey.Forged through service.Built for many.

PLANNED INITIATIVE · NOT YET OFFERING RIDES

LEADER Veteran
Access Initiative

They served for us. We will work to ensure distance never stands between veterans and the care they earned.

LEADER’s long-term vision extends beyond athlete development. The Foundation plans to help veterans—particularly those in rural and underserved communities—navigate resources and overcome transportation barriers to medical care and essential services.

  1. 01
Resource navigationHelp veterans identify healthcare, benefits and community resources.
  2. 02
Transportation partnershipsExplore qualified providers, community partners and supported ride options.
  3. 03
Veteran shuttlePursue an accessible transportation program as funding, insurance, qualified drivers and operating requirements are secured.

Our promise is honesty: this is a planned initiative, not a currently available transportation service. LEADER will announce assistance only after the necessary funding, partnerships, safeguards and approvals are in place.

Vision with a responsible path forward.

LEADER will grow in stages—matching every promise to the people, funding, safeguards and approvals required to deliver it well.
